Speed or Death needed to be magnitudes clearer about where you need to go, simply because there’s so much else clamouring for your attention. Narrow tracks are hidden and nearly impossible to see. There’s a sequence in Race Against Space where you have to drive over rocks that – in a previous part of the race – caused you to crash. We have played Money City Rampage ten or twelve times and we still couldn‘t tell you where you’re meant to go after being chased by Godzilla. The accumulated result is that you simply don’t know where to go. On occasion, the situation can’t even be helped by an arrow: when you’re jumping over a ramp, or trying to navigate a canyon with a multitude of optional paths, for example. Sometimes they appear too late to really help, sometimes they don’t turn up at all. There are onscreen arrows, but they’re inconsistent. Speed or Death is more interested in screaming “waaaaaah!!!” in your face repeatedly than it is in telling you where to go. There’s much going on in Speed or Death on Xboxīut it’s almost too much. Rarely is an event reused from elsewhere. It’s flipping great in concept, and we’re hugely impressed that a budget game – Speed or Death is only £6.69 – can cram in so many over-the-top pyrotechnics. Often there will be soldiers firing, rocks tumbling from cliffs and all sorts of other distractions. Lots of things are happening, and it’s not only the aliens and dragons around you. Let’s get it out of the way early, because it’s dominant. Your aim will commonly be to beat your old time, beat your previous progress, or just know where the bloody hell you’re going. Split/Second comes to mind, but with less AAA bluster and a greater emphasis on racing against the clock, rather than beating opponents. You have to have your wits about you, as a clear path can become dragon-scorched in a matter of seconds. Their antics cause the track to explode, switch lanes, create dead-ends and other real-time obstacles. In Money City Rampage, a Godzilla-like creature starts stomping about in Disaster in a Desert, sandworms eat up a military facility in Gold End Volcano there are meteors and dragons in Race Against Space it’s aliens. The complication is that these are races through disaster movies. Handbrake works in Horizon 4, Horizon 5, Dirt2.0, Dirt 4, (not Forza motorsport 7 - no place to map it) - all the games I have to test at the moment.Want to win a 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription? Enter now! I've heard a usb 2.0 hub also works, but I don't have one to test. I tried another simpler non powered usb 3.0 hub, and it worked fine. This non powered usb 3.0 hub had on/off switches on each port. I got a non powered USB 3.0 hub, plugged both the shifter and handbrake into the hub, and hub into the aux port. I removed the Th8a shifter from the AUX port and plugged in the handbrake. It asks which mode, select handbrake, and it appeared to work in analog mode on PC with the on screen test display. I tried the same thing on another Win10 PC and it worked fine. The program would just close when I clicked on update firmware (driver version v439). I connected the adapter (sole adapter, not connected to anything) to a Win10 PC and it failed to update the firmware after installing the driver software. I just added the clubsport handbrake v1.5 today with the USB adapter. I'm using a drivehub with xbox one S, Th8a shifter, Thrustmaster TX servo base, Thrustmaster T-LCM pedals. Hi, just wanted to share my experience here. Probably going to have to sell this to a PC player and buy a new one, aren’t I? □□♂️ I’m lost and incredibly frustrated with staring at my handbrake, at this point. I would, with instruction!Īnd if I could do so, would I need to reprogram the handbrake to accept the wheel/shifter/drivehub setup? QUESTION is: any ideas how I would wire a “usb-in” port onto the board of the handbrake, or know any videos outlining this issue? It seems to be fairly unique and no computer repair shops in my area will touch it. Just a USB connection, to use the handbrake on pc, as a standalone peripheral. Problem is, I was sent a handbrake without the “USB-in” port. I’ve seen it done several times and it works great. I just purchased a handbrake, which was supposed to have a USB in port, which my drivehub would plug into and then the handbrake’s included USB cord would plug into my console. My rig is a g920 with a th8a shifter and drivehub. Question! I’m new to reddit and thus, have no idea where to post to get good results.
